Where can I “acceptably” take my kids?

Since the birth of my first daughter 2.5 years ago, I have been continually seeking out places that I want to eat/drink at that are acceptable to take my daughter to. I find it pretty rare that a place advertised or pushing the 'child friendly' vibe serves the kind of food I like and has an enjoyable atmosphere to boot. I must admit my daughter is pretty well behaved (must be all the training I've given her) so please forgive me if you have think this section of my blog is way too presumptuous.

Below is a list of places The Eatery by CK recommends. These are places I have been to where I have felt comfortable having my daughter with me and the staff have responded well to having her there. I believe wineries are one of the best places to go for a taste, a lunch, or a sneaky platter and kids can usually run around on the large grassed areas that so many of the winery grounds have.

-Queen Street Cafe, Croydon

-Woodstock Winery, McLaren Vale

-Bird in Hand Winery, Adelaide Hills

-Nepenthe Winery, Adelaide Hills (they occasionally have live music on a Sunday)

-Danny’s Thai, Norwood

-The Parade Thai, Norwood

-Sushi Train in Gouger Street (the only good sushi train around in my opinion)

-Citi Zen, Adelaide (for Sunday morning Yum Cha – be mindful of the pond at the front entrance that my daughter went for a “swim" in)

-Ding Hao or any of the other Chinese restaurants on Gouger Street which serve food quickly and have an already high noise level.

-Mandoo Korean Dumplings, Adelaide

-The Table, Stirling

-Tin Cat Cafe, Kent Town

If you know of any others please let us know!
